Psychological Counseling, Guidance Application and Research Center

AREL Psychological Counseling, Guidance Application and Research Center has been established to serve for psychological counseling, psychotherapy, psychometric evaluation (tests) and providing and scientific research in the field of psych-education.
All services are given within the framework of principles such as professionalism, ethical values and respect for personal rights, privacy, unconditional acceptance, sincerity, sensitivity and people-oriented individual and institutional needs in the Center.
PDR AREL works according to the Turkish Psychologists Association's ethical regulations, adhering to international norms of professional ethics. Some of these ethical principles are competence, being useful and not harming, responsibility, honesty, respect for human rights and avoiding discrimination.
AREL PDR SPECIALISTS
Services are provided by experts who work in different positions as full-time, part-time and volunteer. After preliminary interviews with students which are based on the appointment with experts, they are directed to a service suited to the their needs. AREL PDR professionals are subjected to regular supervision for their development. Our experts are unbiased, respecting the human rights, giving much importance to security and privacy. They are professionals, well- trained and highly experienced.
SERVICES IN AREL PDR
•Counseling to Individuals
The most potential difficulties in "relationship problems” of individual applications are anxiety problems, depressive symptoms, academic problems, lack of self-confidence, health / physical integration issues, compliance issues, family issues, trauma and suicide attempt / ideation.
• Psychological Advisory Groups
In the Center, "interaction groups" are organized on the issues such as isolation, loneliness, communication, family relationships, friend relationships, responsibility, positive thinking and behavior in social relationships and personal development.
• Group Guidance
Group guidance is carried out in groups on the issues such as academic problems, exams and homework anxiety, compliance with school life, learning how to learn, stress and strategies of stress removal, self-confidence development.
• Peer-Group Consultancy
"Peer Counseling Program" is conducted by the student peer advisors who have been trained and certified in peer counseling program. They give support in the academic and social issues for those who are in need. Peer education and peer group of consultants are under the supervision of AREL PDR Center.
