Istanbul Arel University’s Faculty of Engineering and Architecture was established in the 2008-2009 academic year, and since then has been consistently increasing and strengthening its academic staff and departments. Our Faculty currently consists of 10 departments: Department of Computer Engineering (Turkish), Department of Computer Engineering (English), Department of Biomedical Engineering, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Turkish), Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (English), Department of Industrial Engineering (English), Department of Interior Architecture, Department of Civil Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering and Department of Architecture.
There are currently 1800 students receiving education and more than 1100 students have graduated from the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture. Students have the opportunity to join student clubs and carry out a wide range of social activities.
Our Faculty is represented by a distinguished academic staff, 27% of which are professors, 5% associate professors and 68% assistant professors. The total number of academic members is over 75 and increases every academic year in order to improve the versatility of the education provided. We aspire to offer the most advanced educational resources such as laboratories and workshops as well as the infrastructure required to get involved in research activities.
Our Faculty aims to raise engineers and architects who can carry out a diverse range of projects and teamwork activities, conduct multidisciplinary research, improve their knowledge and generate new products and who possess professional ethical values and leadership skills. The Faculty of Engineering and Architecture also aims to create a unity among academicians who can pioneer scientific and technological developments, set up the necessary infrastructures and establish a cooperation between university and industry.
